William s. Boyd School of Law
Working with Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and Nevada Legal Services, teams of law students, under the supervision of an attorney, provide free legal education on relevant legal issues by preparing and conducting weekly classes for the public. Classes include family law and divorce, small claims, special education rights, paternity, custody, guardianship, immigration, criminal record sealing, and bankruptcy matters.

AAAC provides advocacy for clients through consultations, assistance with navigating legal systems, and through representation.
Fees for services are income-dependent and range from pro-bono to sliding scale.

Free Tax Return Preparation for Qualifying Taxpayers
The IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs offer free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals.
The VITA program has operated for over 50 years. VITA sites offer free tax help to people who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns, including:
- People who generally make $64,000 or less
- Persons with disabilities; and
- Limited English-speaking taxpayers

The State Bar of Nevada supports the promotion of access to justice in Nevada through the delivery of legal services to those in need.
If you are in need of legal assistance, but cannot afford a lawyer, a Nevada legal aid provider or pro bono legal services may be available to you. Consult this Legal Resources Directory Brochure for more information or contact one of the legal service providers listed below.

Foreign Transcript Evaluation
- A foreign transcripts evaluation process is available for new middle and high school students entering the Clark County School District (CCSD) from foreign countries. Foreign transcript evaluations assist school registrars and counselors in establishing appropriate grade-level placement, determining equivalent CCSD credits, and assigning the most suitable student schedule to facilitate graduation.
- Note: This service does not apply to foreign exchange students or students studying abroad in schools sponsored by the Department of Defense Education Activity agency.
