Eligibility & Access

Children who have recently settled in the United States, or have been a CCSD student for less than two years.

The CCSD Family Support Center (FSC) is committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all students and their families by addressing their social-emotional, physical, and academic needs. Specialized support is provided to ensure a smooth transition for newcomer students and families through district orientations, refugee assistance, and personalized guidance. General Questions

There are many ways to get involved: volunteering as a classroom speaker, supporting the Book Bus, hosting a school supply or food/clothing drive, providing academic and attendance incentives, sponsoring contests and scholarships, or adopting a school to support staff and students. Submit your interest at engage.ccsd.net or contact the office at 702-799-0303 or EngageCCSD@nv.ccsd.net.

The CCSD Family Support Center is eager to collaborate with media and community organizations. Before proceeding, please request permission from the CCSD Communications Office, then schedule a meeting with the Family Support Center. Locations & Hours

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The CCSD Family Support Center is open in accordance with CCSD’s annual calendar. Summer hours may vary.

Students and families are always welcome as walk-ins. In an effort to offer the needed support and interpretation in your language on the day of your visit, appointments are strongly encouraged. For appointments call: (702) 799-0072. The onsite UNLV Pediatric Clinic does require appointments to be seen by a medical professional. For clinic appointments call: (702) 586-9943.

Programs & Services

Yes. The CCSD Family Support Center’s ClassroomCast Video Channel provides detailed information about the various services offered at the FSC. You can also access our Newcomer Orientation in various languages. Our mission is to support all families in need, with special attention to families new to the city and those currently enrolled with CCSD. Services include enrollment assistance, Pre-K applications, COSA, Magnet, immunizations, medical, vision, dental, legal consultation, and many others. The FSC has workrooms available for reservation. For more information about our workrooms, the reservation process, and availability, please call (702) 799-0072.

Staff are available daily to support families in English and Spanish. Support in other languages is based on interpreter availability. Call (702) 799-0072 for additional information on what days your language is supported.
