Student Services:
- Initial District and school orientation
- Specialized programming with a focus on language and literacy development

- Initial intake and assessments for student placement
Family Services:
- Guidance with student registration
- Applications to: Magnet schools, COSA, and Pre-Kinder
- Initial orientation, including information on policy specific to CCSD
- Access to interpreters and translators in selected and low-incidence languages
- Referral to wraparound services (ex. Mental health, employment, parenting classes, etc.)
- Supporting ELLs, Language Study, and Language Expansion coordinator support request

Foreign Transcript Evaluation at the CCSD Family Support Center

- A foreign transcripts evaluation process is available for new middle and high school students entering the Clark County School District (CCSD) from foreign countries. Foreign transcript evaluations assist school registrars and counselors in establishing appropriate grade-level placement, determining equivalent CCSD credits, and assigning the most suitable student schedule to facilitate graduation.
- Note: This service does not apply to foreign exchange students or students studying abroad in schools sponsored by the Department of Defense Education Activity agency.

Medical services for newcomer students are provided at no cost. Medicaid and private insurance will be utilized when available.
Health services are NOT to be used for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please visit your nearest hospital emergency room or call 911.
