Child Find
Child Find is an evaluative process to address the federal mandate to locate and evaluate children, ages three to 21, who are not enrolled in public school and may be eligible for services identified in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Deaf and Hard of Hearing
The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Dept. provides direct instruction, consultation, counseling and transition services to students in both Aural/Oral (non-signing) and Total Communication (signing) settings. Teachers collaborate with the IEP teams to ensure students are receiving appropriate academic instruction, accommodations, and supports.

Homebound services
Homebound services are designed to provide continuity of services to students enrolled in CCSD who are unable to physically attend school due to a medical or psychiatric condition.

Transition Services
Transition Specialists deliver services to schools, teachers, administrators, students, parents, and community agencies intended to address student’s post-secondary outcomes.

Speech-Language Therapy Services
Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) provide diagnostic, direct, and consultative
services to students who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language, speech sound
production, voice, and fluency (stuttering).

Southern Nevada Centers for Independent Living
